Ride Don’t Hide – Newfoundland & Labrador
Sunday, June 7, 2020
Registration for Ride Don’t Hide 2020 will open soon! Email Me.
Ride Don’t Hide is an annual, nationwide community bike ride that brings mental health into the open while raising essential funds for mental health initiatives. Each year, participants and supporters all across Canada help raise almost $2-million for the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).
On Sunday, June 7, 2020, we’re asking Newfoundlanders and Labradorians to ‘ride, don’t hide’ at one of our three ride locations:
• Paradise – Rotary Paradise Youth and Community Centre (10 & 20 km biking routes, 5 km walk, and 2 km family walk)
• Grand Falls Windsor – Starting Venue TBA (hiking and walking route)
• Stephenville – Starting Venue TBA
Don’t see your community? Register under the Newfoundland & Labrador section and ride from wherever you are! You can also donate directly to CMHA-NL’s ride.
Supporters, media, and the public are welcome to come and cheer on our riders! As usual, we will include walking routes and accessible options for non-riding participants, plus lots of family fun and entertainment! Stay tuned for details.
In any given year, 1 in 5 Canadians will experience a mental illness. But did you know 5 in 5 Canadians (that’s ALL of us!) have #MentalHealth that needs to be cared for and protected? Together, let’s join the largest mental health bike ride in Canada and raise funds for mental health initiatives in our province. When you ride with us, you help raise funds for the CMHA-NL division, which means we can help even more people in Newfoundland and Labrador by building and maintaining the programming, education, and services we offer. Learn more about what CHMA-NL does here: https://cmhanl.ca/what-we-do/
Ride Don’t Hide is a chance to bring mental health into the open, raise critical funds for vital mental health programs, and connect – to your own mental health, to each other, to our community, and to the national movement for mental health!
See you on June 7, 2020!
