Harbour Strong

Empowering Men Across Newfoundland & Labrador Through Mental Wellness & Community Connection. Harbour Strong is a provincial pilot project focused on men’s mental health, resilience, and community support. Through land-based gatherings like ice fishing, snowshoeing, and dogsledding, men will engage in open conversations about mental wellness, stress, and emotional well-being—all in a natural, supportive environment.

Mindful Futures

Building Resilient, Mentally Healthy Classrooms Across the Province. Mindful Futures is a province-wide mental health education program designed to equip students from kindergarten to Grade 12 with the tools they need to understand, manage, and prioritize their mental well-being. Through engaging workshops, classroom learning, and student-led initiatives, this program fosters resilience, emotional intelligence, and a culture of support in schools across Newfoundland and Labrador.

Recovery College

Free Mental Health & Wellbeing Courses for Adults in Newfoundland & Labrador. A Recovery College is a unique, community-based learning space designed to support mental health and personal well-being. Unlike traditional colleges, there are no tests, no fees, and no prerequisites—just practical, empowering courses focused on personal growth, mental health literacy, and skill-building.

Rural Resilience

Empowering Rural Communities Through Mental Health Training & Education. Rural Resilience is a mental health education initiative designed to equip youth and those who work with youth on Newfoundland’s West Coast with the knowledge and skills to support mental well-being in their communities. Through evidence-based training, including Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and SafeTALK, this program builds a network of informed, proactive mental health advocates in rural areas.
