Resilience Project: Mental Health Education for Wildfire Impacted Communities
This fall as part of The Community Lifelines program, CMHA-NL launched the Resilience Project to support members of our communities impacted by wildfires. Education and training to support mental health resilience and suicide prevention will be offered with no charge to community members, first responders, children and youth, sports groups & clubs, schools & teachers, community centers, and anyone else needing support in these geographic areas.

Date: February 28 & March 1, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (each day) with 1-hour for lunch, as well as morning and afternoon breaks. Meals are not provided.
Cost: No charge. This course is provided through The Resilience Project as part of The Community Lifelines Program. Registrants must be 16+.

Directions to College of the North Atlantic – Carbonear Campus

Enter Carbonear from the Veterans Memorial Highway.

Continue straight through the first set of traffic lights (you will see Dairy Queen on your left).

Before reaching the second set of traffic lights, turn right.

Continue straight on this road for approximately 10 minutes.

You will pass Slade’s Funeral Home on your right — continue straight.

At the next intersection, continue straight.

Take your first left; you will see a sign for College of the North Atlantic – Carbonear Campus.

After turning left, drive for less than 2 minutes, then turn right.

Take the next left, and you will see a large parking lot.

This parking lot is the location of the main entrance to the campus.
