Let’s Talk Men’s Mental Health
A practical 90-minute virtual session exploring mental health, stress, stigma, connection, and everyday tools for well-being.
Talking about mental health doesn’t always come easily but understanding what’s happening, recognizing when stress is building, and knowing what tools can help can make a meaningful difference.
Join Nathan Jenkins, Men’s Mental Health Program Coordinator with CMHA-NL, for Let’s talk Men’s Mental Health – a practical, conversation-based session designed to make mental health a little easier to understand and talk about.
This isn’t therapy, and no one will be expected to share personal experiences. Instead, the session creates a relaxed space to learn, reflect, and build practical skills that can support mental wellness in everyday life.
What We’ll Explore
During the 90-minute session, participants will explore:
Men’s mental health and the role stigma can play in seeking support
Stress, warning signs, and recognizing when things may be getting off track
Practical strategies for responding to difficult thoughts and emotions
Connection, relationships, and the importance of support
Personal wellness and the factors that help us stay well
Creating a simple, realistic plan for supporting your own mental health
Participants will also be introduced to the 4 R’s — Recognize, Regulate, Reframe, and Review — a simple framework for responding to everyday mental health challenges.

Who Is This Session For?
This session is for men interested in learning more about mental health and gaining practical tools they can use in their own lives.
You don’t need any previous mental health knowledge or experience. You also don’t need to be experiencing a mental health challenge to take part.
Come as you are, listen, participate as much or as little as you’re comfortable with, and leave with some new tools for the road ahead.
