Additionally, participants will learn about crisis intervention strategies, resources in their communities and self-care practices.\nThis course is an additional two hours in length in comparison to the Mental Health First Aid: Basic course, and covers additional topics such as eating disorders and deliberate self-injury.\nDisorders Covered Include:\n\n\nMental Health & Stigma\n\n\nSubstance-Related Disorders\n\n\nMood Related Disorders\n\n\nDeliberate Self Injury\n\n\nAnxiety and Trauma-Related Disorders\n\n\nEating Disorders\n\n\nPsychotic Disorders\n\n\nParticipant Outcomes\n\n\nIncreased awareness of signs and symptoms of the most common mental health problems\n\n\nDecreased stigma related to mental health\n\n\nIncreased confidence interacting with individuals experiencing a mental health problem or crisis\n\n\nIncreased help provided to individuals in crisis or experiencing a mental health emergency\n\n\n_____________________________________________________________\nPLEASE NOTE:\n• Seats are limited for in-person & sponsored courses; please register early!
