CMHA-NL Receives $20,000 Bell Let’s Talk Community Fund Grant for Seniors’ Mental Health
Jan 20, 2021
The funding will allow CMHA-NL to facilitate Mental Health First Aid for Seniors for 105 participants in St. John’s, Clarenville and Grand Falls-Windsor. Participants will include formal caregivers and those who work with seniors, as well as informal caregivers, including family members, friends and neighbours.
Early this year, Lorne Bennett, Executive VP with Pennecon, presented CMHA-NL with a $50,000 cheque. This incredible donation is part of Pennecon’s commitment to a 5-year, $250,000 fund, that allows CMHA-NL to deliver training in mental health awareness, suicide prevention and stigma reduction in NL.
